Pixi has no account system, no analytics, and no servers operated by us. Almost
everything the app does happens between your phone and your own panel, on your own network.
What we collect
Nothing. We do not operate a server, we do not receive your data, and there
is no analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or tracking of any kind in the app. We could not
tell you how many people use Pixi.
What stays on your phone
The pairing token for your panel, kept in the iOS Keychain.
Your Anthropic API key, if you choose to enter one for the icon studio.
It is kept in the Keychain and is only ever sent to Anthropic.
Icons you make, saved as files in the app's own storage.
Display preferences, such as your theme and chosen app icon.
What goes to your panel
Your panel is a device you own on your own network. Anything you send it — photos, notes,
to-dos, tracking numbers, settings — travels directly from the app to that device over your
local network and is stored there. It does not pass through us.
The three places data leaves your network
All three are things you choose to switch on.
Anthropic — if you use the icon studio, the prompt you type and the pixel
art returned are sent to api.anthropic.com using your own API key, under
Anthropic's terms and privacy policy. Nothing else about you is included.
Shipping carriers — tapping "Track on …" opens that carrier's own
tracking page in an in-app browser. From that point you are on the carrier's website and their
privacy policy applies.
Accounts you connect — if you connect a third-party account so the panel
can show its data, the sign-in happens in your browser with that provider. The resulting access
tokens are held by your panel, not by the app and not by us; the app only passes along the
short-lived authorization code that completes the sign-in. You can disconnect at any time, both
in the app and from the provider's own account settings.
Permissions the app asks for
Local network — required to find and talk to your panel.
Camera — only when you scan a shipping label barcode. Nothing is recorded.
Photos — only the photos you pick, and only to send them to your panel.
Microphone — used by the panel's own microphone feature, not the phone's.
Motion — the artwork tilts with the phone. It never leaves the device.
Children
Pixi is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone.
Changes
If the app ever starts doing something this page does not describe, this page changes first,
and the date at the top changes with it.
